Meet TeamPluma
Pluma Designs is happy to introduce TeamPluma – talented individuals, working together, with a strong commitment to great customer service and professionalism.
Hilda Villaverde
Hilda Villaverde began her distinguished career in hairstyling at the age of eighteen. Over the years, she has attended classes, certification and master’s programs with a variety of companies including Goldwell, Redken, Matrix, Framesi, Vidal Sassoon, and most recently Eufora International where Hilda is an Educator and Chapter Lead facilitating classes in product knowledge, business and leadership.
In 1995 she launched her personal endeavor Pluma Designs and in March 2011 expanded the space into the creative and educational studio it is today.
Hilda also holds a Ph.D. and is the author of four published books, including “Blow Dry This!” a captivating assortment of people’s stories collected from her, not so ordinary, hair salon. She is a respected stylist, sought after educator and leader in the business.
With over forty years experience her passion for the beauty industry is stronger than ever. “Mostly,” Hilda says “I am an ever-evolving hairdresser.”
Susan Nelson
Susan Nelson joined TeamPluma with over twenty years of experience in the business. Her great customer service skills were honed in the financial industry while she kept her fingers on the pulse of hairstyling, and at the same time raised her four children.
Working full time for the past three years at Pluma Designs Susan is now a master stylist. She readily admits “My favorite aspects of working with hair are coloring and highlighting,” and she continues to attend numerous advanced classes to improve her skills.
Susan is also a Chapter Lead co-facilitator for Eufora International where she assists in presenting product knowledge and business building workshops for salon owners and managers throughout the Scottsdale and Phoenix area.
Mary Petrich
Mary Petrich has been a dynamic hair stylist and colorist for over fifteen years. After working with top stylist in the valley and in her private studio, she has now joined TeamPluma. Mary enjoys applying her keen eye for fashion and style and her free-spirited nature in creating the perfect look for each client.
“As a jazz musician I feel a connection with the harmony of sounds and the technical precision of a great hair cut,” Mary relates. She adds that creative vibe to everything she does at Pluma Designs while also valuing and appreciating the relationships that are shaped and cultivated between her and her clients.
David Kando
David Kando, as a young man, worked, watched and learned from his father, a hairstylist, barber, and salon owner. In 2001, he began as an intern at an Intercoiffure Salon, Mario Tricoci Salon and Spa in Chicago, where he learned and mastered the art of precision hair cutting. These experiences lead him to integrate the two arts and fueled his passion to create great looks for his clients.
After moving to Arizona David opened Salon Kandalucci in Glendale. In 2008, he was approached by Eufora International and he went to work for them to help train and educate other salons in both hair cutting and business solutions. Through this exposure David has sharpened his own creative skills and has deepened his love for the beauty industry. He now brings this expertise to Pluma Designs.
Conchita Myers
Conchita Myers says “Since the age of seven I felt a strong attraction to hair design and the fashion industry,” so in 2010 she completed her course work in cosmetology school and got her license. She has experience in the retail fashion field and in the beauty industry and is inspired by the energy of both. Currently Conchita is an apprentice with TeamPluma where her goal is to become a master colorist. With her passion and dedication she is a hit with the clients and the team she supports.
